By accessing or using StudyGroups (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StudyGroups provides AI-powered study tools including flashcard generation, quiz creation, spaced repetition review, study group collaboration, and progress tracking for professional certification exams. Some features require a paid subscription.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must verify your email address to access certain features.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel anytime from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — there are no partial-month refunds unless required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the AI generation system
• Upload malicious files or content
• Harass, abuse, or spam other users in study groups or chats

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI (flashcards, quizzes, study resources) is produced by machine learning models and may contain inaccuracies. StudyGroups does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or exam-readiness of AI-generated content. Always verify with official study materials.

7. Intellectual Property

The StudyGroups platform, branding, and underlying code are owned by StudyGroups. AI-generated content you create belongs to you — we do not claim ownership over your flashcards, quiz results, or uploaded materials.

8. Limitation of Liability

StudyGroups is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to exam failure, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.
